How long do you have to wait for car insurance to payout once an amount is agreed?

I was involved in an accident in which my car was declared a total loss. I agreed an amount with the assessor and was expecting things to be sorted quickly. This was almost two weeks ago now. How long should it take for me to receive the payout?
