Ipod Touch displays wrong song?

When my ipod sleeps, and I press the home button twice to be able to pause the song I'm listening to, etc. It always shows the song I'm listening to as being the same avenged sevenfold song, no matter what I'm listening to. Why is this happening? It's kin of annoying, so if there's a way to fix it, please let me know. My sleep button is stuck so I have to have my ipod set to sleep in one minute on the auto sleep thing. Is this why? Thanks for any help!
