Will insurance pay out on iphone 4?

okay so today i knocked over some sort of liquid that you get in one of those fragrance things that you plug in wall and it spilled on my iphone 4 which i got a few days ago, it works fine apart from speakers, camera and my screen, i can see the bubbles behind the screen and because its not normal water it wont evaporate, i currently do not have insurance on it, will i be able to add insurance on my iphone 4 which currently i am on vodafone, and then claim it in like a week as damaged? please answer!!
